Roma adds Akanji to the list of Defense
According to reports from Italy, Roma are not done in the transfer market and are looking for more experienced reinforcements for the squad. Dortmund ace Manuel Akanji is now on the target of the Italian capital.
As the transfer window will soon close by the end of the summer, Roma have stepped up their scouting process in a bid to recruit a defender. It is understood the center-half, who has been linked, is one of a number of contenders to arrive at the Olympic Stadium before the end of the transfer window.
Dortmund have proposed him to other clubs as they do not wish to lose him for free in the summer of 2023. The club valued the 27-year-old at €20 million, which the nerazzurri managers believe is too high.
The other names being considered are Red devils duo victor Lindelof and Pele, and free agent Zagadou. Although the aforementioned trio are not heavily pursued as Akanji. Roma will have to steal Akanji from Inter. The Nerazzurri are also looking to strengthen their defence after losing juventus to the loss of Gleison Bremer and Skriniar to Paris Saint-Germain.
