According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the capital city is finalizing a deal for Felix Afena-Gyan, allowing Roma to finally sign free agent Andrea Belotti.

The newly-promoted team has agreed to pay €6m plus €3m in extras for the talented 19-year-old Garnía striker, who broke into Roma’s first team last season under Jose Mourinho. Afena-Gyan will earn around 600,000 euros per season with Cremonese, where he expects regular playing time.

According to Sky Sports, Andrea Belotti‘s agent arrived in Trigoria earlier this afternoon and is now discussing the final details of his client’s contract with Roma.

Roma are expected to sign Belotti for three years. The Italy international will replace Felix in Mourinho’s squad and serve as a replacement for Tammy Abraham.

Afena-Gyan’s departure has finally allowed Roma to sign Belotti, who has patiently waited on the sidelines after his contract with Torino expired last month. The Italian striker has been training in Sicily in recent weeks and hopes to return to fitness after the transfer is completed.

The Italy international agreed on personal terms a few weeks ago. However, Roma need to offload some players to get free transfers over the line. Justin Kluivert will also leave the club in the coming days. Therefore, the formalities to recruit Andrea Bellotti will soon be completed.

If the move is successful, we can expect to see him in Mourinho‘s squad ahead of the Serie A game against Juventus this week.
